Chinese Astrology

Chinese Astrology is represented by Animals. No one really knows the origin of the Chinese Zodiac signs. There is a story that Buddha called upon the animals and only 12 showed up, starting with the Rat which became the first sign and ending with the Pig which became the last astrological sign.  Because Chinese New Year starts at the beginning of February, your zodiac sign also changes some time in February.
